This year I thought I would try something different. Make a calendar myself. Something that will look good on my desk and inspire me. I really didn’t want a whole planner thing, just a simple calendar to remind me of the date each day. So I thought of this simple DIY desk calendar, which will be perfect for my home office.
To inspire you to make this DIY desk calendar yourself, we prepared a free calendar printable. You can print it out in letter or A4 paper size. Read on to find the download links and see how you can easily make this DIY desk calendar yourself!
To make your DIY desk calendar you will need:
- A wooden board: ours is 7,5 × 9,5 inches (19 × 24 cm)
- 4 nails
- A hammer
- An X-Acto knife and a ruler
- A hole punch
- A printout of our free calendar printable (to download follow the instructions at the end of this article)
- Cutouts from magazines/photos/prints (we used some amazing illustration prints by Klavdija Zupanc)
Let’s make this!
1 Cut out the month and number cards from our free calendar printable. Cut out your chosen photos or prints to the exact same size. All your cards should measure 2 ¾ × 3 ½ inches (7 × 9 cm). We did this with an X-Acto knife because we find it to be more precise. If you prefer, use scissors instead.
2 Punch a hole in the middle of each card.
3 Mark where you want your cards to hang on the board and where the nails should go. Hammer the four nails into the board.
4 Now all you have left to do is hang your cards.
