Kids love them over their beds, they look lovely as a backdrop against a plain wall and they work great in the garden as well.
What’s even better is it doesn’t really take much to make your own. The projects we have gathered in this post are easy to make, so you can have your DIY paper garland made and hung in no time.

3D Paper Circle Garland by yes! we made this
Alright, alright, this one is ours, but it is really such a great DIY garland, we had to share it today. It is made of paper circles, sewn together into a garland using a sewing machine. You know it’s one of my favorites if it was also my wedding decoration. And I still love it now as much as I did back then.

Paper Ice Cream Banner by Bugaboo City
How about this banner? Probably the most summery of all the DIY paper garlands. It might take a little bit more time to make, but it is well worth it, don’t you think? Next time you are planning a summer garden party, don’t forget to make your ice cream banner!

Spring Paper Flower Garland by Lia Griffith
This pretty spring DIY garland is so delicate you could almost think those are real flowers. Again, this will take some precision cutting skills, but with free downloadable templates, I am sure even a beginner could do it.

Accordion Fold Paper Garland by Craftiments
This accordion DIY garland reminds me so much of my childhood. We would make tiny paper accordions out of scrap paper strips that you ripped off the printing paper used in those 1980’s printers. Remember those? Well, this DIY garland takes it to another level, obviously. Such a pretty garland and you the fact that it folds so nicely means you can store it neatly after the party is over!

Paper Leaves Garland by Oh Oh Deco
This tropical paper leaves garland would make such great decoration for a summer party. And how great would it look in a jungle themed kids’ room. All you will need is green paper, scissors, and some glue and you are good to go!

This DIY paper garland is so easy to make you won’t believe it! Just cut thin strips of paper, curl them up and thread them to get a garland. Michelle suggests making matching drink stirrers. What a great party idea!
