It’s Day 5 of our YES! Xmas Challenge. We hope you’ve been having as much fun with our holiday printables as we have. In case you’ve missed the last few days, make sure you check our virtual advent calendar for all of the gifts we’ve added so far.
Today we’ve got something simple, but very festive for you. It’s a great quick holiday activity, that even toddlers can enjoy.
Fun Candy Cane Printable
What’s Christmas without candy canes, right? And peppermint candy? They are classic, so we knew we had to include them somewhere in the Xmas Challenge.
Today’s gift is this simple candy cane coloring page and template.
You can use it in a number of ways.
The most obvious is printing the black and white version and have the kids just color it in. You might be surprised by how colorful these turn out! Because kids don’t care if it’s *supposed* to be white and red. Which I personally think is great!
You could also use them to make ornaments to decorate your Christmas tree. You can either use the full-color version or have the kids color them in before hanging them.
Similarly, you could thread this on a string to make an adorable Christmas garland. It would make a great holiday decoration!
The peppermint candies also make great gift tags. Just print them (you might have to reduce the size of the page when printing if you have smaller gifts to wrap) and cut them out. Attach them to your gifts and write the name of the recipient on the back.
(And speaking of gift tags, these Christmas Gift Tags are also part of our Xmas Activity Challenge!)
Is there any other idea on how to use these candy canes you can think of? We’d love to know!!
