Wow, naming this printable was kind of a project. Are they colors printables? Are they colors coloring pages? Coloring pages with colors, coloring pages about colors? Or maybe just colors worksheets?
Well, I picked one and went with it. But the name doesn’t really matter.
What matters is these awesome printable worksheets are so much fun. And they will help your child learn about color recognition.
Color Hunt Printable Coloring Pages
We wanted to create something that wasn’t your ordinary color worksheet. We came up with the idea of creating a color hunt. This means your child will be searching for all objects of the same color hidden on the page.
We’ve got eight free coloring pages of eight different colors for you to download from the members’ library. Yes, we said eight!
There is a worksheet for yellow, orange, red, purple, blue, green, brown and black. How awesome is that?
Each coloring page has the color you’ll be hunting for written in the center. There are three objects of the right color hidden in each worksheet. If they are stuck, help your littles by asking them What color is the whale? Is the apple green? And so on.
When they find the right object, have them color it in.
I love these coloring pages because they combine the learning aspect with a game-like activity. Kids have a lot of fun searching for the lost objects. And they learn something useful along the way!
