This Book Belongs To – Printable Children’s Bookplates

This Book belongs to labels and Kids' Books

This book belongs to – you! Download our printable children’s bookplates and label your books with the help of our cute animal friends.

When I was in primary school, I had a teacher who had a special rubber stamp to mark all of her books. It said something like This book belongs to Mrs. M.

As a little kid, I found that fascinating. Having all of your books so neatly marked (I was a geek that way, I know.)

I wanted to have something like that of my own, but never really did. Back then it wasn’t as easy as it is today to get cute school book labels on every corner (of the internet).

But lucky for all of us, things have changed. And now you can get super cute printable bookplates with just a few clicks. If you know where to look for them, of course!

Meet our Cute Animal Gang

Not too long ago we shared these animal school labels for your kids’ notebooks and school supplies. We love these friendly little characters we created so much we knew right away we’d be applying them to other cute printables.

One of our lovely readers reached out and told us she’d love to see them on bookplates. And we thought that was such a great idea, we couldn’t wait to make it happen.

These adorable printable children’s bookplates are ready for you to download from the members’ library. (If you’re not a member yet, please follow the instructions at the end of this post.)

You can print them out on sticker paper and stick them right inside all of your (or your kid’s) favorite books. Or, print them on regular office paper and use paper glue to attach.

Why Add a “This book belongs to” Label?

I am no expert, but speaking from my own experience, I think labeling your kids’ books can have a positive impact on how they perceive books and reading. Children take great pride in having something that is just theirs. Especially when it’s written in big letters so that everyone can see.

By the way, if you’re looking for other ways to encourage children to read, we’ve got a lovely set of floral printable bookmarks in the library, as well.

Bookplates can also make a nice addition to a gift. Next time you’re giving a book as a gift, add a bookplate with the name of the recipient on it. It makes it just a little bit more special.

However you choose to use these, I hope they make you smile every time you open your book. Happy reading!
